Beret came to us out of a senior manager role at Velocity, a company that in his own words was driving him into the ground. He was working 24/7, with projects spilling into the night, the next morning and the weekends. When he took the problem to his leadership, the answer was no more money, no more help, suck it up. He was making $125,000, and the pay was not worth what the job was doing to him.
Over eight months we landed him 24 senior leadership interviews.
Hiring managers told him the outreach was why he got seen
This is the most direct confirmation of the mechanism we have from any client, because it came from the people on the other side of the table.
“I even had people on interviews be like, oh, you reached out, and this is how your name got moved to the top.”
He had tried alone first, including paying for LinkedIn Premium, and describes the difference in approach bluntly:
“It was more just wandering for jobs. Y'all really narrowed that down, applied for quality jobs.”
Who he thinks it is actually for
“People that are trying on their own but not getting interviews. The casual applying on LinkedIn here and there, and then saying they can't find another job. People who are just busy and can't spend the time to look at that many jobs, but still want to put in the effort. I couldn't put in as much time as y'all do applying for every job.”
He also told us what was wrong with it
Included as given, because a testimonial with no criticism in it is not worth much.
“At the beginning I was a little confused about where I needed to put notes, because it was a bit of a different process when I started versus now. The thing I would have recommended, y'all have already fixed.”
What he weighed before signing
“Just the unknown. It wasn't cheap, so you want to make sure it'll be worth it. It's the unknown of, I hope this company does what they say they can do. And at the end, very much, y'all did what you said you could do.”
